Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Just wearing a big ole white south sea ring from PP today. I knew today was going to be rough workday ahead of time, so I felt I needed something to stare happily at.

lary007: Nice SS ring. Pearl therapy is great for work. I highly approve.
SurfnSci: Ooo, love the Tahitians. I love multicolored T's. Those 2 necklaces nest well.

I'm fully Kamoka chested today while running some errands. Carved Tahitian pendant and black and white Tahitian studs.

Takahashi BBA ring. Sea of Cortez ring with pearl from Douglas set in the rose gold "Frost" setting from Pearl Paradise. I wore them on different hands today. I just put them on the same hand for photos. The rings just glow with color. I'm glad I wasn't driving today, because I'd just be staring at my hands instead of the road.

@BWeaves I absolutely adore the frost setting! I was so close at one point to getting a ring in that setting but I never did and I regret it so much. The erotochromatic pearl in that setting is phenomenal - as are the rest of your lovelies!

lary007: I met KMFDallas at the LAX airport at my last Ruckus, and she was wearing a gorgeous SS pearl in the Frost setting, so when I bought the SoC pearl from Douglas the following day, I knew exactly what setting I wanted.

I went with goldens today. The pendant is golden akoya keshis from the very first Takahashi live event with PP and the earrings are tiny 8ishmm GSS studs from Ocean's Cove om Etsy. They have the loveliest rose overtones that I can't get a good picture of since it's stormy and almost black outside today.

Can't post a picture wearing these goodies because I got my lunch all down the front of my white shirt 🫣

I remember those pendants from the takahashi event. This is so gorgeous. A lovely claim!

I LOVE seeing everyone’s pearls!!! Beautiful and I’m so far behind I can’t comment on everything…

I haven’t taken a lot of photos because I’ve been pulling out my shell jewelry. All pieces I made a while back- a tin cup of vintage Biwa pearls, earrings with shells from Sanibel, and a dangly necklace with Tahitian keshi, gems, and puka shells from Hawaii.

BWeaves, I'm really loving that Takahashi ring. Beautiful pearls.

I wouldn't worry too much about your new DL number. Anyone asking for ID is going to be more concerned that your license is current and valid.

Just lounging around the house pearls. The Devine Sarah pendant from Kojima (large, rainbow striped, Chinese freshwater pearl). 2 Kasumi pendants that I wear as earrings on my Mom's hoops. One I bought from Kojima, and the other I bought at a Kojima/Kasumi PP Live event. The Kojima pearl has a ruby bail, and the PP Live event pearl has a little h diamond bail with the same size and shape as the ruby bail. The rubies and diamonds are the only way I can remember which pearl is which, because they're a good match. The nacre on all three pearls is incredibly thick. You can really see INTO the pearls.

I rarely wear rings around the house, not even my wedding rings. They snag on my weaving yarns. And I bang them into walls when going around corners. I don't wear them grocery shopping, either. I only wear pearl rings when out visiting, and I'm very careful with my hands during that time. I'm slightly terrified of losing the Takahashi ring, since it's a bit big for my pinkie and too small for my ring finger. I'm constantly checking it's there, because it has no "top" so I can't feel it when I'm wearing it.

I never thought I'd be a nail polish person, either. But since I've been getting my nails professionally done, I've quit picking at my cuticles, so my hands look nicer for wearing rings. And I've started to get a little wild with the nail polish designs, too.
In case you haven’t seen them before, I use these spiral ring adjusters for rings that are too big, they’re pretty comfortable and easy to use!

Happy weekend, everyone!
BWeaves, what an amazing trio yesterday (and that's a great idea for using pendants as earring huggies!)
Lary007, those are fabulous goldens and the akoya pair really well with the GSS.
Syrie, what a gorgeous harvest strand, wow.
Pomelo, I use those ring spiral guards, too, and they are great :)
Jeg, love your mixed strands this week, and the lovely earring pairs you made!

Kasumi strand from Kojima today.

I forgot to take photos the last couple of days. I kept waiting for the lighting to improve and it didn't. The lighting still isn't great. The colors don't show up well.

Ombre' pistachio Tahitian keshi tin-cup and pistachio Tahitian studs from Kojima.

Yesterday I wore big pearls. Giant freshwater baroques from Kojima. They have the luster of akoyas. Large freshwater drop from Kojima. Large coin pearl with ruby flower ring from Kojima. BBA ring from Takahasi. Freshwater drops from Pearls of Joy on Mom's diamond hoops.

Years ago, I would have thought these pearls were ridiculously too big. Then PSS set in.
