Hello all. This is my first attempt at hand knotting and beading. I rescued a 22 inch strand of rice pearls knotted on fishing line with a 14k Gold clasp. With shipping the cost was $30. I spent $1.50 on silk thread and $4.50 on faceted crystal beads. I figured if I really messed it up, I wouldn't be out too much money.

So after working and the last few days and driving through the terrible snow I decided on my day off to relax and try this out. I am happy to say it was so therapeutic and fun! :) I bought the pearl stringing kit that Patti sells on Etsy and when it arrives I hope to try some more and get better at it in the future. So here are some pics I would like to share.

Here is part of the original strand after I took it apart.

Thanks for looking! :)

Yes now happy pearls! Wonderful results for a first effort!!!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments! :) I just finished using the leftover pearls and some craft store metal beads to finish another strand. This strand I am going to give away. So total cost for both strands was $38. I think this is way cheaper than seeing a therapist to de-stress. Lol

Beware: Pearl Therapy can become a bit pricy... a slippery slope! :)

The proportions with the added beads are very pleasing - nice re-do!
