PEARL IDENTIFICATION BANGKOK

Hello I am in Bangkok next week and I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion of labs they have used for pearl lab reports other than gia and a price please. Gia are us$ 150 a pearl and that’s out of my budget. Thanks in advance for any help. Kind regards sam

Well, in that area I only know of and trust the GIA. If you were in Europe there are many options...but that cost is very average.
You only pay for this service when you have a pearl you know is natural and you want the certificate to sell it...and the pearl is not your average pearl, but large, beautiful.

The best lab I know of in Bangkok is GIA. I'm not sure I would trust any other lab there.

While there are some pearl wholesalers in Bangkok my impression (from attending a couple of their gem shows) is that they aren't really very oriented (no pun) towards pearls. GIA in Bangkok does have some world-class pearl expertise though.
