My pearls

Well I still haven't got any good photos of my latest creations, but today it was overcast and you can see some colors at least. Hopefully I get better photos this weekend. I have had some busy weeks. First we thought that not-husband had gotten the dreaded plague, but the test did came back negativ, it was just an ordinary cold. Then my mother slipped and fractured her knee-cap, also slicing up the skin exposing said knee-cap. Lots of stitches and she has to keep the leg straight for some weeks. Luckily one of my sisters work from home, now she works from our mothers home. I meet to many people at work and shouldn't even be near her. Aside from that everything is fine (excluding the plague). I have made a lot of stretch bracelets, using the carved bead and skulls as a hiding placed for the knots. They are sort of plague friendly since I can risnse them of. Circled peacock tahitians and a lilac phosphosiderite skull.

Wow, Charlotta I noticed you got all the best circled tahitians from Wen’s latest lot and was curious what you will do with them ;-)
Beautiful and fun new pieces, you’ll have bracelets for every day of the week ! Well done!!!

Thank you Bweaves, eolian pearls and SydK. I love stretch bracelets, so easy to put on. I have remade all my clasp bracelets during the last couple of months, I wasn't wearing them. The bracelets are so close to my hands that I want to clean them after work. I just rinse them of and dries them carefully with a soft ancient well worn towel. I did sanatize a phone to death in april...I did have a problem with were to hide the knot, jut the skulls and beads solved that. I could get pearls drilled with bogger drillholes, but then I couldn't make them now...
Eolian pearls, I did get some pretty circled tahitians. I got inspired by your rope and got six 8 inches strands. In these 3 circled bracelets I used all of the smallest pearls, 8-9mm. At first I made s smallish ombre strand, but I already had my smallish 7-8mm strand from Druzydesign, so I didn't use it. I like the bracelets a lot, then I can always admire the colors. I made a multicolored 36 inches long rope with the rest of the pearls. I also used some circled pearls that I had in my leftover pile both in my bracelets and my new rope. The new rope is very colorful, but the photos are not...

Thank you Katbran, I really do like circled pearls when they are resonably clean that is. They often have the most incredible colors in them. I have several aqua tahitian pearls, in different strands, they are all circled or drop pearls. Amazing colors in these ones. I would love to have a tahitian aqua strand, but I have never even seen one.

I have some photos of my new circled tahitian rope. At first I tried to use all three strands, but it was too long. I like it at 36 inches better. I tried to capture all the colors, but at least you can see some of them. Lots of jewel tones in this one, many peacock, green and blue pearls, not many lighter colors, some banded aqua and olive greens. Most pearls are not only circled, they are banded as well. Quite beautiful accually. I used a purple and blue 11,3mm circled tahitian from Druzydesign as a centerpiece. The other pearls are 9-11mm. I hope that I can capture all the colors this weekend.

I also made the ultimate versatile necklace. Rather simple really. I just used a normal chain, one that I assembled myself. Then I took a piece of the same chain, and added a lobsterclasps in each end. I attatch it with some hitch knot (there seems to be a number of them all with different names but basically the same). Then I can attatch all of my earring pairs that I use with my Pearlescence huggies, well not all at ones...these ones aren't accually pairs. One is a gorgeous peacock tahitian drop pearl that got leftover when I made the tahitian drop and blue akoya rope. Such a beautiful color, but to dark for that rope. The other one is a stunning white circled south sea pearl.

All of these pairs could be used with my necklace.

They could also be added to the chain alone should I want that. I love transformer pieces. I also remade the akoya keshistrand that I recently remade...it was to busy. I took the silver copper tahitian pearl from my floating pearl necklace and added it as a centerpiece. The two tiny circled tahitians at the end is just to hide the beading wire, the akoya keshis are to small, rather the drillholes that is, to double back inside. I normally avoid using pearls together with chains, since I am afraid of scratching the pearls. This way I might use that beautiful tahitian pearl more.

The other mixed south sea and tahitian strand that I made, the one I tried out my color theory on (darker golden south sea pearls really only goes with warmtoned tahitians like peacock and that lighter golden south sea pearls therefore should go well with other kinds of tahitians like blue, green, silver and pink etc). Well I like the strand, I don't like my photos of it yet. I basically combined these two bracelets.

Without the carved beads that is.

My first mixed south sea and tahitian strand. I love this one, don't know why, I just do.

New mixed strand in unflattering light...

The colors woun't show.

I added two south sea pearls and two tahitian pearls to get the lenght right. I was wearing those two bracelets together one day and they looked so pretty together that I just had to combine them.

Lovely jewelry! I really like the stone skulls, perfect for this Halloween season!
The lariat is really nice, thinking of making a similar one for my wife with a Golden SSP and a Kamoka I have.
The keshi bracelet...just beautiful, that silvery color is just so pure. Love the jewelry you have all been sharing :D

Thank you CortezPearls, that would make a beautiful lariat I think. I first made my lariat as one chain with a pearl in each end, the knot kept opening up. This way it looks like a lariat but woun't fall of.

Yes! Very witty of you! When I saw this I told myself I could do it in a jiffy :)

You are right CortezPearls, it took no time at all. Especially since the pearls already had bails.

Wow Charlotta, those circles are truly amazing! Great color and luster and shapes! What a beautiful new rooe you made! I can imagine that they are even more colorful in real life, it can be quite frustrating trying to capture the colors especially in circled tahitians as they are somewhat chameleon pearls... Lovely lovely to see all your new creations and very inspiring!

Charlotta, what a collection! What a marvelous Thread! You captured some intense color there, don’t sell yourself short.

I hope everyone recovers soon, what a year, right? Geez.

I’m nothing less than enchanted with your collection, and your tinkering with the designs.

Thank you lisa c, that's very nice of you. You are making me blush though. Today I finally got some decent pearl light. Yay. Multicolored circled tahitian rope. The pearls are about 9-11mm and the rope is 36 inches.

I have been using these with my aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove as well, but forgot to photograph them. There are some very pretty colors in this rope.

I also got some new photos of my mixed cooltoned south sea and tahitian strand. I still prefer the first more warmtoned one but I really like the new one as well. Maybe it needs some quirky shapes? For referens first the warmtoned one. The pearls in this one are from Pearlescence, Cees, Druzydesign and my leftover pile.

Both of them.

Maybe a really big tahitian pearl somewhere off center.

It looks great with my 7-8mm multicolored tahitian strand from Druzydesign.
_20201024_142746.jpg
And with my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence.
_20201024_141938.jpg
With anything cooltoned really, like my tahitian drop pearls and blue akoya rope (akoyas are from Pearlescence and the frop tahitians from Pearl Paradise and from Wen Pearls)
