Large pearl earrings

Hello everyone,

Miss cheting with you all and have the oportunity to do so again. Can anyone tell me if those pear shaped are pearls or just mother of pearl shaped like that? Because of the size i thought that could be mabe pearls but they are so clean and clear. The measure of just the pearls around 25mm high. The metal is 18k gold and the stones are diamonds. Don't go by the theory that because it is high content gold and diamonds that it must be real pearls because that doesn't apply here in my country. The things I have seen all these years hahahaha.

They look like mabe pearls.
Also, see the MOP backing? That is typical for mabe pearls.

Thank you so much. I thought mabe were more yellowish. Mabe is better than just mother of pearl right?

Mabe pearls are made of the same nacre as the inside of the shell, also known as mother of pearl. In the case of mabe pearls, a domed insert is glued to the inside of the shell and nacre is laid down over that.
