How Do You Store Your Pearls? Show Us!

Thank you for some very useful hints for storing to preserve and enjoy our pearls. Given that pearls love to breathe and be in the fresh air rather than boxed up and also for easy display and access, I have draped a few of my strands over well padded hangers in my wardrobe as pictured - a mixed size pinkish white Akoya of opera length, Tahitian strand and station necklace, south sea near round. Purchased from Aquarian Pearls by David Norman, and Pearls of Tahiti by Nick Kwan.

someone told me Olive Oil can protect the luster, but never try it.. :) i saw my chines friend and some Japaneses using like bean from (chemical) and swing it in the machine ...
This sounds entertaining, pearls swinging in a machine.

I don't have many pearls. These small velvet boxes help me to keep them safe nicely. I also have small pieces of clothes handy to give my pearls a gentle swipe whenever I think about doing that ☺️

Well… my pearls have multiple owners! When I’m not wearing them, my dolls usually are. The type of doll I collect and the fairly high humidity that my room is at baseline lend themselves well to keeping strands in good condition, even if they go unworn for some time. Here’s two of them, Halti and Nebo, respectively, out on a photoshoot with some of the strands I made specifically for them!

There be DRAGONS!!!

My sweet husband refers to me as Smog (Lord of the Rings Dragon or Shrek "oh, a girl dragon!") when I am looking thru my pearls!
