Advice on thread size

Hi,
I've just started pearl restringing using the Japanese method with 2 strands (except the beginning and end of the strand when it goes through 4 times). So far I've been using Beader's Secret thread. My problem is making sure the thread size I'm using is right, so the individual pearls don't move between knots. On pearls with a hole size between 0.6 and 0.8 is it best to use the medium or the thick size thread? Thanks for any help you can give.

Thanks. I've tried a couple of times and the pearls move between the knots. Medium works for me if I use 4 strands. If you only use 2 how do you ensure that the pearls don't move?

Make tighter knots! The knots have to be right up against the pearls. I do this by puling the 2 threads apart, causing the knot to slide up against the pearl. In practice find that I make 4 or 5 small tugs rather than one large tug.

I bought several sizes of Beaders' Secret because until I try it, I just don't know which size will work. And sometimes using 2 sizes at the same time helps split the difference.
