Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

One of the birds on my Tahitian bird ring fell off. One of the birds had fallen off the SS bird ring, too, a couple weeks ago. I think the posts are just a bit too small for the drill holes.

I used a bit too much 2 part jeweler's epoxy on this ring, but the pearl felt loose on the post, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to fall off again. I am going to try to watch out on the remaining two pearl birds, as I have a feeling that I'm going to need to reattach them eventually, too.

Broke my foot. Sold my floor loom. I'm having a **** of a week. I'm trying to remember which pearls I wore, because I did wear pearls through all of it.

Ereyesterday (the day before yesterday). Dyed pearls. Necklace of dyed akoyas with vintage clasp. A gold "hanger" to add a pendant. Pendant of dyed freshwater pearls and a jade fish. Mismatched earrings of jade "windows" with dyed freshwater pearls. All from Kojima Pearl.

Just coming on to say many best wishes for a very speedy recovery on your broken foot. I broke mine last year, and it was a long and very painful healing process. I was two weeks in a plaster cast and then 12 weeks in a "walking" boot that I wasnt allowed to walk in until week 6. The best investment I made was a knee scooter. I was able to keep a scheduled trip to Japan (knee scooter in tow) which fascinated people there...they kept asking me where the battery was. Apparently knee scooters aren't a thing there. I can tell you absolutely listen to what your orthopedic/podiatric specialist tells you to do. I was able to avoid surgery which was fabulous. I hope you heal quickly and completely!!

I did reach out to the vendor who made the bird rings. I told her that I had no problem reattaching the pearls since I'd done it before. But that she might want to be careful if she uses those settings again. She was very grateful. I love these goofy bird rings. They're so impractical, but so much fun to look at.

Yes, my knee scooter is getting all sorts of jealous looks from old ladies and little kids when I scoot around big stores. My boot is itching me though. I've tried to line it with linen handkerchiefs today. Socks didn't quite stop the itch factor.

I'm fully Kamoka chested today. Mostly Tahitian pearls. There is one blue baroque akoya in the mismatched earrings. Earrings by OceanRhyme. Berna Planet pendant and 2019 All Josh Harvest necklace from Kamoka Pearl farm. T-shirt is kinda obvious where I got it from if you watch the video (Kamoka).

I like the unexpected gold pendant cord with the silvery Tahitians (I think most would instinctively select black or silver/gray for that cord). And the whimsy of (i) adding the single blue akoya in the mix and (ii) the tiny white pearl bubble in the pendant.

I love mixing white and yellow and rose metals.

I am not crazy about the setting, but the pearl was so pretty I had to get this ring. Very good luster/reflection for a freshwater and I love the color. Seller said it’s a freshwater keshi but how is it so round if so? Also, i am not wearing the pearl strands YET but they will make such a pretty necklace. All from Miaran Pearls.

These are the pearl and tourmaline earrings I ordered from OceanRhyme for PT (pearl therapy). They are very pretty, and I really like them, but I cannot work the post and the ear nuts. She even sent 3 different types of ear nuts. I but need to stick with hooks, I think.
Those earrings are stunning! And I'm sorry it sounds like they aren't going to work out.

Minty Fresh, I agree. That pearl ring is not a keshi being that large and round.

Natural colored ripple pearls. The earrings are real Kasumi pearls from the only freshwater pearl farm in Japan on Lake Kasumi-Ga. It is run by a single pearl farmer. Earrings from Kojima Pearl. Necklace of Chinese freshwater ripple pearls from Pacific Pearls.

I like the way the texture and pattern in your blouse mirrors the textures in the pearls. The pearls themselves are beautiful pastels, like a Monet painting.

I’m very excited to share my latest necklace: baroque WSS strand from Cees. I wore these to the office for a client meeting today. These pearls are ENORMOUS, true rocks. This is actually one of 2 that can be put together using a harpoon clasp, which I asked for, or worn separately.Together the 2 strands measure about 45”, something like that. I hope you like them.
Wow! Those are true Wilma Flintstone size! You wear them beautifully.

That strand is one of the nicest I have seen as CFWP.
