Pearlgirl12; that was my favorite piece from the Vintage/Antique Show!!! Really a showstopper; I have a small collection of bar and collar pins; and it was hard to resist ... had I not indulged in a couple of pieces from a show a few days before ..... Glad it got a wonderful home

Thank you. It is happily nesting with some Victorian bar pins from back in the days when I prowled Camden Passage in London.

My first live show purchases came in this week!

First - Hong Kong show! I haven’t had the chance to wear this yet, but I purchased what Hisano referred to as “the sweet one” tiny Tahitian keshi dangly gold necklace. Of the three options for this one, I opted for the one with the smallest keshi because I loved the silvery blue color and more oblong shape of the keshi. I am fully obsessed with this necklace. It’s like a little work of art. It’s a tough act to follow.




Two days later came my purchase from the Jack Lynch retirement celebration. I felt so lucky to get these Tahitian drop hoops! This was my first time “bidding” because I had purchased the necklace from Hong Kong on the website between the first and second day, knowing it would sell out for sure on the second day. Anyway - Hisano had mentioned her love for the Crescent hoop setting but mentioned they could be tricky to put on. I had no trouble with it and find them incredibly comfortable! I have been looking for some earrings to go with a recent Kamoka pendant purchase. I took about 0.5 seconds to determine that the white gold + shape + color of the pearls was a very good fit and then pounced! I’m pretty pleased with how they look together. I feel like the earrings will go with … pretty much everything.

I totally forgot to mention that during Jack Lynch’s speaking portion, he had a book in his background setting. The same book was sitting right next to me!

Wonderful choices PearlyLibrarian; lifetime selections those You did so well matching those earrings to the pendant!! I'm such a fan of charm dangle style pieces; I have several, including Fiji pearls, and one treasure with Sea of Cortez keshi and tiny diamond beads. I want to go back and rewatch the Jack Lynch show. I joined for a bit, but we were house, teen and creature sitting for our own librarian, who went off to a library/computer conference all week. Everyone had a great time, but 3 dogs chasing a cat through the house made livestreaming a bit distracting ...

Gorgeous Tahitians. Good choices. You were right to jump on those right away.

I can see why you're excited and delighted! The necklace and earrings are beautiful! I missed the Jack Lynch live stream, but I put myself on the waitlist for those earrings....guess that's not going to happen! Congrats, you did well!

@PearlyLibrarian: She walked into a quiet house, all creatures sleeping, her son in bed ... she was in shock. It was a different story once all the creatures figured out their real mom was HOME! She does appreciate the help

I'm finally getting serious about trying to make my Fijian pearl from the first PP Fijian event into a pendant. Trouble is this pearl is an actual chameleon and I am having some serious issues with choosing what metal color to pick. This is really bad indoor lighting so it's really not the best spot to be making a decision from so I plan on taking this to work with me so I can find some good natural light too.

In the meantime, what is your opinion on metal color for this one?

This is in my bathroom with lots of LED lights. Not ideal either.

The pearl seems to have warm tones to it. I'd go for the yellow metal.

@lary007 That is such a pretty pearl!!! Both the yellow and white gold findings are lovely, and I'm leaning more toward the yellow gold given the overtones (and may I ask if you've considered rose gold? I think a rose gold finding would really make the overtones pop.)

Rose gold would probably work great actually! I didn't even think about that. I am going to look into that now.

I like yellow gold with it. But rose gold would be pretty too. I like the white bail with it, too, especially if the bail has diamonds.

I mix metal colors all the time. I have a lot of tricolor (rose, yellow and white gold) and bicolor (white and yellow gold) pieces, so I have no problem putting a yellow gold bail on a white gold necklace, or a white gold bail on a yellow gold necklace.

I managed to pick up a Fiji Keishi strand from 07/16/25 Live Show. I work Wednesdays, so I always miss out. I strung it as a bracelet. It may end up as a tin cup necklace someday.

You got the Hershey kiss bracelet! It's fantastic!

I got the silvery goldish keshi earrings but I haven't taken any pictures of them yet. I reeeeeally wanted the first finished bracelet that was shown but I am glad it ended up the way it did.

I took a picture - not the best lighting but good enough that you get the idea. I did worry when I opened the box initially that they were maybe too similar to some other earrings I have but upon closer inspection and comparison they are not at all similar.

The coloring is so subtle and hard to tack a specific color to. They are unlike any other pearls I have in my collection so that makes them keepers in my book!
