Some days are just so much more fun if they aren't too planned!
Needed a 14k white ball clasp to finish a project!
Recalled seeing one on The Pearl Outlet site! Soooo, called up Terry, who had one to spare! Off I go! Kalama, Washington, the physical location, is just an hour drive north of Portland, and pleasant scenery where the interstate is near the Columbia River. I'd been wanting to go up there for ages!
Winding roads slowly took me up into the foothills of the Cascades, with eye-popping vistas, from nearly every turn and ear-popping also from the increasing altitude!
TPO is in such a beautiful and serene place, I felt like I had come to a mountain spa! Terry gave me great directions, and in no time had me drooling over some magnificent gem quality perfectly matched round Tahitians! Also gorgeous Tahitian earrings with black diamonds--diamonds even I would wear! (Sold, and being shipped out to some lucky person!)
I took a couple Sea of Cortez pearl strands, which he found interesting, as he had primarily seen single rounds.
Got a nice tour, with chance to observe his "stringers" working on black cfwp; they are fast! Talk and string at the same time! Also chatted with Judy; we met at the GIA Pearl Grading Class a year ago. Oh yeah, mammoth safes, plus well organized and roomy work areas.

Terry was kind enough to back me out of his driveway, too! Thanks, Terry, it was a great visit!
Back at home I quickly cleaned out the car, then---couldn't find my precious clasp anywhere!!!! Went through pockets, purse, sacks, everything! Finally thought to check the garbage--yep, there it was in its tiny plastic bag! Whew!!
