Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Been a while since I wore these natural white akoya (from Flower Jem on Instagram).

I don’t know why I don’t wear white pearls with white diamonds more often - such a classic look! But I do like the thorny ring to bring a bit of edge to the overall jewel-fit.

Pomelo, both you and your pearls are absolutely beautiful.
Thank you!

Pomelo: I agree about pearls and diamonds. What color are the knots on your necklace? I love the contrast.

Freshwater pearls, jade, emeralds and sapphires. Earring pendants are on my own diamond hoop earrings. All pearls from Kojima.

Mine are knotted on blue string. It came like that rather than a bespoke request - and I’m glad I didn’t have to make the choice, otherwise I would’ve probably gone for a more neutral tone like grey or black!

I’m loving your pearl x gemstone combinations!!

I've found that colored knotting thread tends to influence the pearl color in a subtle way, rather than make a color statement of its own, even when it's bright. It surprised me.

Merrily bought a pearl necklace from Kojima with the Lime knotting thread, and I was surprised at how much I liked it in real life. The color jumps out at you in the glamour photos on the Kojima website, but the color is much more subtle in real life. I really liked it.

The dark blue knotting thread with Pomelo's white pearls is a new combination I've never seen before, and I really like it.

Thanks so much, MintyFresh, for your thoughtful and kind reply!☺️ And I especially love your SS keshi rope!

Three strands of Fiji pearls I randomly knotted with pearls from Cees. Worn with pistachio Tahitian earrings I wire-wrapped.

Jeg: Now that I have read up on Fiji pearls, I can fully appreciate how cool this necklace is. I also like the colorway, which creates a subdued elegance even layered with other necklaces.
