Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

And now for something completely different. Obviously dyed, top drilled, cheap, bead store, Chinese freshwater pearls. I bought these pearls to use as dangles on the fringes of my handwoven shawls. But I loved the way they squiggled, and nested, and flipped around on their temporary strings, so I decided to make them into a necklace. I added a couple of stick pearls. I loved stick pearls, but they made terrible necklaces. They flipped around too much. The round, pinkish lavender pearls might be natural color, but they are cheap freshies, too. They were leftover from some beading project I didn't keep. The endless knots are sterling silver, and I may have some glass seed beads in there, too.

I've had a lot of compliments on this necklace from fellow handweavers with requests of, "Can I copy that?" Sure, I don't care.

The 9mm blue baroque akoyas from Flower Jem are still my current staple. Today with some teeny tiny white freshwater keshi (or seed pearls? Is there a difference?) on a choker, a white Edison on a bangle, and a baby porcelain GSS on a little curb chain.

Somebody put me on Ban Island. I did more PT (pearl therapy) this morning and bought another Kamoka pendant. I haven't even received my blues from PP yet.
I am in the same boat heading there Berna, haven't received my PP purchase and already bought some from Wen's pearls and Kongs Pearls.

Here is my baby strand (4-6mm)that I just received from PP. Natural Akoya colours were a bit more muted than I am used to. Beautiful lustre. I just jazzed them up a bit.

Another knockout strand from Cees. South Sea Golden,White, and Blue White Baroques on the harpoon system. Not sure about anyone else but I'm really liking this system especially for a choker strand. The strand seems to hold its round shape better around my neck. Cees is great to work with and knows exactly what I like!

Very pretty! They go so well with you’re kitty too!

Golden SS pearls today from PP Live events. I dubbed thee Pomme de la Mer pendant because it looks like an apple with its shape and green and pink overtones. The tin-cup sparkles with its little gold and white keshi dangles. White SS earrings from Mom. I've thought about getting golden SS earrings, but Mom's white SS earrings match the look of the necklaces so well that I don't feel like the pearl colors have to match.
