I reset my mismatched monster studs into rings… they were just too heavy for me to enjoy wearing them, and they would droop instead of sitting upright.

So… here is the Tahitian! The finger coverage at 16mm+ is great

And here are photos of the two together! Tahitian is 16.7, South Sea is 16.5mm.

The shanks are different widths, and I find the wider width of the Tahitian ring more comfortable as the heavy pearl itself doesn’t move around as much with greater shank support.

Set in 925 sterling, rhodium and YG plated. I think I’ll keep these rings in sterling silver, as I really can’t handle the cost of a heavy setting in gold right now

I love that mixed pearl chain, BWeaves, and that element of surprise with the carved pearl just tops it off.

Pomelo, that was a great choice to turn those pearls into rings. You wear those statement pieces so well.

A mixed medley rope and a Tahitian ring from Kojima, with earrings I wire-wrapped. The pendant is an early Grace Pearl Edison that was a PP request from one of their HK trips. Wearing it on a pearl chain of tiny FW pearls.

Look what just arrived! Sea of Cortez keshi pearls and a perfect drop shaped pearl combined with tourmaline beads. No clasp. It slips over my head. Design originated with me, and Hisano at Pearl Paradise improved it and made it real. Thank you! Mismatched Tahitian pearl earrings from Kamoka Feather pearl pendant from Kojima. Akoya and opal ring from OceanRhyme. UV light makes SoC pearls glow red.

Visiting Dad today, so BIG or go home. PSS (Pearl Shrinkage Syndrome) is a real thing. It happens when you start buying pearls and bigger pearls, and then your regular sized pearls look too small and you have to go bigger.

Incredibly lustrous necklace of Chinese freshwater pearls. Center pearl is 14mm. Freshwater baroque drops on my Mom's hoop earrings. Smallest dimension is 12 mm. South Sea pearl bird ring. Width of pearls around their bodies is 11.5 mm and 9.5 mm. BBBA (Big Blue Baroque akoya ring) is 15 mm x 13 mm. Double BBA ring has 11 mm and 9 mm pearls. Necklace from Kojima Pearl. Earring drops from Pearls of Joy, Bird ring from OceanRhyme. BBA rings from Takahashi (and Pearl Paradise).

Merrily gifted me a pearl sheep. It combines my love of wool for spinning and weaving with my love of pearls. She's sitting on one of my handwoven rugs. Oh, her name is Pearl, of course.

Thanks @Amoreperla @BWeaves @jeg for your kind words. Indeed, these were a real battle as earrings before and I’m getting more wear out of them (especially the T) as rings.

@PearlyLibrarian thanks for noticing the jadeite peapod! We are expecting our third baby this fall, so I wanted to get a peapod with three peas to signify this.

If I may stray from the topic of pearls, here’s a close up of the peapod. I really like the thin “green strands of gold” that run through the material. It was bought loose and set with a diamond I had at home (I have a small collection of melee-sized diamonds from dismantling second-hand jewellery).
