Haha, yeah it was definitely one of those doh! moments. My buddy and I both were blaming ourselves (I'm sure it was my fault though) so he was mumbling about how he couldn't believe he had done such a thing and boy were we screwed now, etc. Living on the ocean I've learned that you can see really far if you are just patient with your eyes and you keep scanning. He is a guy who I had only met online (spearfishing forum) so it ended up being a bonding experience.
