Hi! I’m new here, and I need A LOT of help! My mom just passed away at 90, and in her stuff I found many sets of pearls, many of which could possibly have belonged to her aunt who was born in the 1880s! I’ll start posting pictures. I’m not sure what to do next. I’m quite overwhelmed. There are many many other things as well.
Can anyone help me identify these pearls I got from some family? Just curious about their origins. It’s a three strand, choker like necklace with no apparent company logos. Thanks!
Hi, Just got my first freshwater pearls. Interested in their care. These were bought for a Red Dress Run, and a couple of thought pearls would be the thing. I really like them.
I have 2 Iridesse brand pearl necklaces that I'm trying to sell. One is a single pearl on a white gold chain. The other is an 18" long bolo-tie style strand of pearls. Any tips on selling these for the best value?
I’ve recently joined this forum. My family has a long history in Sri Lanka’s maritime trade, especially in spices and pearls. I’ve inherited a collection of natural pearls believed to date back to my great-grandfather’s time, well before cultured pearls existed.
They likely came from the Gulf of Mannar.
I’m here to learn more, understand what I have, and connect with others who appreciate such pearls.
Hello I am a new member or posting for the first time finally! I just want to say hi. I used to not like pearls (believe it or not) I’ve collected all kinds of jewelry since I was about eight years old.
Anyway now I Love pearls! Currently I acquired a 20 inch strand of South sea golden pearls ( I hope and I think). I need help in determining if they are dyed.
Looking forward to learning!
I need help! I have a pearl bracelet I bought at an estate sale. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me what kind they are and the value. My mom had a stroke 12/23/24 and now is home, So I need to sale it to pay for some of the extra things she needs to get well. Thank you for your time and help.
Hi everyone. Please help identify this necklace. It has a Mikimoto box, pouch and booklet looks old. chain is 15 in. Clasp marked with M SIL and Sterling. Bail has an M and S. I cannot find another one like it anywhere so have no idea if it is real or what it may possibly be worth. Pearl is creamy white 7 1/2-8mm, looks pretty round, it is gritty when rubbed against another pearl. Pendant approx 1 1/2in
