I am a babyboomer & admit my ignorance about pearls. Seems we bypassed wearing them. I have 2 necklaces. The one I am most interested in is 2 strands which lay beautifully on the neck, but are not round. The more I read the more confused I am. Any ideas about what they are & value if any?

The great thing is that your pearls, not having a round bead inside, are nacre all the way through-- so they are very durable.
