Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

PSS strikes again, and I have escalated to these 10-10.5mm blue baroques. Their color and luster was amazing - I jumped immediately. I think blue baroques are my favorite to pair with a casual t-shirt. I’m also having fun with these teeny blue akoya keshi stretchie bracelets!

I love your new pieces, PearlyLibrarian! My go-to studs used to be silver Tahitians, but I find myself grabbing my blue baroque Akoya all the time now. The bracelets are fun, too!

BWeaves, you have such nice memories from your mom. I especially love the two Akoya necklaces you wore for her birthday. The sizes layer so nicely together and I love the look.

A strand of golden SS from Kojima, with a mixed SS strand I put together. The earrings are wrapped with golden SS Myanmar keshi from Druzy, and a pair of T’s.

I’m a long-time lurker—I just wanted to pop in and say how much all of you inspire me with your style! And the attitude that all pearls are great pearls! It really makes me appreciate and love the pieces I’ve accumulated over the years. I love everyone’s posts, keep the photos coming

For tax, here is a feather pearl from American Shell I had set into a ring with white gold. I need to wear it more often!

Thanks so much, PearlyLibrarian!

Welcome, Mary-Contrary!!! I’m so happy you decided to come out and play! Oooo, I love feather pearls, and what a fun way to show it off!

This is my wildest strand that I share every fall. A strand of crazy shapes and colors of Fiji pearls from Cees, with earrings I wrapped.

Wow. I've never seen a feather pearl set in a ring before. I like it!
Thank you! It’s so unique, I had it made because I’ve never seen a ring like that before.

Here’s a necklace I wear often, it’s sterling with keishi and a Tennessee pearl. The pearl looks almost like a crystal. I’m not sure what kind of keishi they are, I think Tennessee

I am loving these teeny tiny silver blue akoyas. Just the tiniest choker, some little huggie dangles, and some 5mm studs.

These remind me: I have a question to open up to the experts here for opinions. I have 3 lengths of 16inch teeny Vietnamese blue akoyas that I’ve been siting on trying to decide how to turn them into a necklace. I think they are 3-4mm but I can’t remember exactly. Somewhere around there. From Cees. At first I thought I wanted to torsade them, but I’m not sure if I like a choker-length like that. It could be fun to do a longer necklace and layer with this choker here. In hindsight I think I should have gotten 4 total strands to give me more options. Oh well. Anyway - ideas are very much welcome!

Pearly Librarian. I love your little choker and the earrings. Regarding your small BBAs. You could do something like I wore yesterday. My Everything Bagel rope is mostly small BBAs (blue baroque akoyas) and small baroque pistachio akoyas, with all sorts of other larger baroque pearls (South Sea, Tahitians, Kasumi, Freshwaters). It uses the little rubber bumpers between the pearls instead of knots. Or my long tin-cup which is mostly BBA keshi interspersed with baroque South Sea and Tahitians. Of my shorter tin-cup which is pistachio ombre' Tahitian keshi with a Tahitian drop. Pistachio Tahitian earrings. All from Kojima. Unfortunately, the blue and pistachio colors are being neutralized by my orange blouse.
