Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

OMG, CTD, that's the first time I've ever snagged a pearl out from someone else. Usually I dither way too long, and then it's gone. I'm so sorry. OK, I'm not sorry, but you know what I mean. Tevai told me they're called switched symmetry pearls! They’re very rare. Definitely one in thousands. I couldn't resist.

Your quote, " I love the unique, quirky ones and this one is just so stellar." Stellar!

I do love a play on words, so thank you for getting it.

I think the pearl found the person it was meant for. You didn't snag it from me. However, if you ever want to rehome it... :)

I'm genuinely happy for you.

Thanks, BWeaves! I love bubbles, too!:giggle:

Several years ago, when I wanted to learn how to wire-wrap, I decided to make a continuous chain so I could keep practicing on one piece. I used base metal, faux pearls, and a mix of beads. I’ve been wanting to remake the piece using real pearls and nicer wire, and finally got around to re-creating the necklace.

The original necklace was my first attempt at learning how to wire-wrap. I took the baroque Akoya rope apart to use for the remake. I bought these pearls at an Intergem show a long time ago.

The remake using the baroque Akoya pearls and changing out a few of the beads, plus a little improvement in my wire-wrapping skills after some years of practice. Wearing it with my necklace made of random vintage Akoya from PacificPearlsUS.
