I got pretty good at saltwater vs freshwater for round pearls. How about clearly baroque pearls? Logically I think freshwater because most akoyas would be bead nucleated and therefor round if produced in the last 50 years, correct? I purchased this strand for the diamond and ruby 14K clasp. The pearls were a bonus. Lots of nicks in the nacre. 9-11 mm. 41g. 17" long. 43 pearls.

I like the pearls, but part of me is wondering if they're real ... did they pass the tooth test? Of course, with a 14K clasp, they're probably real.

I'll defer to the experts.

Thank you everyone! I thought they looked like akoyas but didn't know how common baroque akoyas would be. Thank you!!!!!
