I have been tyring to look for books that are helpful in educating me in the history and the pearl industry. I havent found any books that are that good they seem to repeat the basics i want a book that has the basics but then again goes beyond the surface. If anyone has any suggestions on books i should look at i would appreciate it.

One of my favorite pearl books is 'The Book of the Pearl' by Kunz and Stevenson. This is really a great book. Another book 'People and Pearls' is similar in many ways but covers much more recent pearl history.
