Hi, all: I'm a newbie on this site so please forgive me if this topic has been discussed (though I did not find anything on topic). Has anyone purchased from the Paspaley Pearl Collection from Legacy Saint Jewelry? Legacy Saint makes up their own designs but the website says the pearls come with a Paspaley certificate. They've got Paspaley pearls in a variety of categories up to "fine." And they have a few pieces in sterling silver which is a more affordable option for certified Paspaleys. I'm wondering if their Paspaleys are really as fabulous as the ones directly from the company (I've got one Paspaley pendant - from Paspaley - which glows like a full moon, so beautiful). Thank you!

I looked at their website, and if those are Paspaley pearls, they are not the top quality ones that you would get directly from Paspaley. So no, they do not compare. The prices seem a bit high for the quality of the Legacy Saint pearls, but gold is high right now.

I don't care for their return policy. Buyer pays for shipping back to Legacy Saint. " If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we accept returns/exchanges in original condition within 7 days of receiving your order, for the refund less 10% restocking fee or flat $10- whichever is greater. *If you paid via ShopPay (aka Affirm payments), the restocking fee for returns is 20%.* "

I guess that means I have to save up for matching items! Reminds me of sticky toffee pudding - which I first had at Fiona’s in Chelsea so many years ago. Nothing has ever come close. Of course pudding isn’t quite as expensive as Paspaley pearls . . . but then there’s the transatlantic airfare, lol.

A little more info . . . Legacy Saint has a limited amount of the Paspaley pearls. They got them years ago but Paspaley ended the contract. So they won’t be getting any more once they’ve depleted their stock. As BWeaves noted, they are certainly not as good as what you get directly from Paspaley (based on internet photo comparison). Nevertheless, based on photos, they look pretty nice and big and shiny (I could see the sales gal with her phone/cam in the reflections. Not like the tennyos I got from Pearl Seiwa in Tokyo (the pearls that want to be mirrors), but pretty nice). She said she sent me photos of the pearlies with the fewest pockmarks and flaws. So I’m getting earrings - a nice oval/drop shape at 14mm. One of the pair has a bubble on top (like an acorn) but they say it will be less obvious once they put a cap on it. The other is smooth except for one ding so they’ll mount it so it’s not obvious. Will post photos (and certificate) on receipt and people can weigh in on whether or not it was worth it. And I can too! Roll dice.
