Hello there!
I am a newcomer to the jewelry business, especially pearls. I will be grateful to know any information about the last Chinese emperor?s pearl, which was presumably installed in Chinese emperor?s crown.
The point is that friend of mine states that he owns the very that pearl. The description is following: weight ? 305 ct; dimension: diameter 2,1 inch (nearly round shape), thickness less than 1 inch, color ? white, age ? from 200 to 400 years.
I will try soon to post a picture of the pearl, to make my question more specific.
Hope, someone will answer!
With best regards, Dmitry!

This sounds like a fascinating story. Please do post photos.

Does he have any provenance for it? A pearl of this size would be considered "important" and should have some old photos or references.

The amount of info given so far is not nearly enough to identify it. like name the Emperor to begin with.

The burden of proof is on your friend and he should be able to back his claims more than you have indicated, here. So let us start with that info.
