non pierced earrings

Hi Gang
I have a regular customer who loves BIG pearls but who refuses to get her earlobes pierced. so her big pearl earrings fall off.
Short of suggesting she superglue them to her ears can anyone suggest any solutions - we've tried the regular styles of findings.

Wendy, that's a tough one! May have to work with pearls that are lighter such as souffle, keshi, coin, petals, but can have a big look. I have heard a well known NY designer, Judith
Ripka, say that a good maximum weight for an individual earring is 4 grams. Of course, that will depend on the wearer also. Not much help, sorry.

Alex thanks for posting that site! I don't have pierced ears and only have screw & clip earrings.

Pearlescence, I have some heavy earrings - venetian glass, and Scandinavian pewter & glass - I find that good clip findings hold them a lot better than screw-in.
