Thank you BWeaves, I probably will keep the clasp intact. The rings hardly shows. I have a citrine clasp that I want ro use on my deep golden south sea strand, the one I bought from Cees, but since it's a double clasp I didn't look good. I might have to alter that one. I post a photo of it soon.
Today I restrung my silver tahitian strand from Cees with Beaders secret in aqua (it was sky before). I am not sure the camera picks up the difference, but I can see it. Aqua is a slightly warmer tone wich suit the pearls.
With my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence and tahitian enhancer from Pearlsociety.
In june 2014 I bought my first nice tahitian strand from Pearl Paradise. I think it was some sale or something. Gorgeous colors, very long drops. Last year I found another similar strand from Wen Pearls. First the Pearl Paradise strand. Also a pair of earings I wirewrapped with pearls from Druzydesign.
The pearls from Wen.
The two of them together.
After I bought my rikitea strand I didn't use them as much so I made a long rope.
But after I bought my ombre tahitian rope from Cees I remade the strand into a midlong strand. I think it's about 24 inches long now. I kept all of my favorite pearls, the funny looking most colorful ones. I like it more now. There are some really unique colors in this.
There is a very bright metallic spring green one and a gorgeous aqua blue one and a really funny looking peacock pearl... I sort of love them all.
My most used tahitian studs are these 10mm turquoise and pink ones from Pearlescence. They go with everything and looks good even in sunshine.
They do change color depending on the light. Most often I use them with my rikitea strand from Cees.
But they also work great with my new silver tahitian strand from Cees.
The size of these are perfect for every day wear. They aren't so heavy that my ears gets sore. And since they are baroque, wich you cannot see when worn, the price was also great. I really love this pair of earrings.
Last year I also bought my stunning blue tahitian studs from Pearlescence. They where described as turquoise green and 12,1mm, but I think that they are more blue or teal. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first opened the package. Such a gorgeous color. It didn't hurt that Wendy at Pearlescence could find me a matching blue tahitian strand in Hongkong last february.
I most often match these with the blue strand, of course.
But they also go great with my white south sea strand from Cees.
Last year during the black friday sale I bought this pair of mismatched, 8.4mm and 8.2m, tahitian studs from Oceanscove. They are described as medium green with cherry overtone and silvery white with pink overtone. I lve this pair, stunning luster, very clean, gorgeous match. It's hard to find a fault in these they are perfect and therefore goes really well with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees.
With my ombre tahitian rope from Cees.
I also often use these with my white south sea pearls from Cees.
In april I bought a pair of 8,8mm pink and green tahitian studs from Pearlescence. They have such a unique color. Like a smokey pink.
I usually wear these with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees.
Thank you 86Corvettegirl. Most everything goes with the ombre strand, as long as it's pearls. I don't think gemstones would do anything for enhancing the strand though, I have been wear pearls for so long that gemstones look harsh now.
Last years I also bought this pair of 8mm aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove. A gorgeous deep green with aubergine overtone.
They go best with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees as most earrings do.
After I bought the ombre tahitian rope from Cees this spring I wanted to buy a pair of medium south sea pearls, for studs. Cees showed me the golden pairs he had on hand whilst in europe and I bought a pair of copper green tahitians instead. They didn't turn inte studs either since they looked better with some yellow gold dangly findings I had om hand. These earrings are stunning with most pearls but of course goes well with the ombre tahitian rope...
With the ombre rope.
With either my akoya keshistrand or my grandmothers goldchain and one of my golden enhancer or pendants.
And also works great with my rikiteas.
With my greenish south sea strand from Kongspearl.
In february I bought a lovely pair of 10.9mm peacock tahitian studs from Pearlescence.
They look great together with many of my pearlstrands. With the cooltoned half of my sampler strand.
Of course with my ombre tahitian rope. Couldn't find a photo of just the earrings and strand but this photo shows the great versatility of the rope. It goes with everything.
The rikitea strand.
With my blue tahitian strand. The peacock earrings makes the blue strand and studs look really blue.
Recently I bought a pair of 12.6mm deep forest green tahitian studs from Pearlescence. A very dark color, but still not a cold color, as black often are. These reminds me of a dark lake surronded by pinetrees in the middle of a forest. These ones I often wear on their own even though I can wear them with my rikitea strand, the ombre rope and the dropshaped strand.
Sometimes my pearls have wierd reflexions in them, this is why. Kitten reflexion.
And this is what happens when I alter the lighting on my phonecamera. They look greener, but the background disappears
With my green banded tahitian enhancer.
It might also look good with those really dark tahitians I recently bought, but since I mixed them with other pearls I haven't tried them together yet.
