Kira H?g Kampmann's dream of working with the "black" pearl was wary when she went on a voyage across the Pacific and met with French Polynesia. The ten day stay in a pearl farm created a strong fascination with the interaction between nature's ability to create the most beautiful pearls - and man's ability to help process initiated and protect the natural environment.
It was kira's goal to be the link between Tahiti and Scandinavia and spread knowledge of the yet unknown Tahitian Pearl. She therefore returned to French Polynesia to work and train for two years.

"Manually assess and grade thousands of beads to learn more about the pearls"... "An experience that is required, and provides a sharp eye" says kira.

With a job at promotion organization GIE Tahiti and studies in marine lagoons ,she specialized knowledge that is the mainstream of her business Marc'Harit which she started back in 2003. From the first collection of 220 Tahitian cultured pearls developed in range quickly to the equally great level to include the beautiful white South Sea as well as the unique Gold South Sea.
Introduction of specialties along with these collections, Kira sees it as an exquisite pleasure, and almost a duty to introduce this industry to consumers for many of the special and superlative products that nature can produce. For example, natural pearl Conch, Cortez pearls from Mexico, engraved beads or faceted Tahitian and South Sea. Also untreated stones to excellence introduced to the curious.
- From the very beginning, the philosophy has been to negotiate beads that became orderly, according to both environment and people. only untreated beads were sold at Marc'Harit says kira.
This philosophy keeps the Today, with pearl industry's increased focus on just sustainability, the majority of collections at Marc'Harit today is certified sustainable.
In 2010 Marc'Harit took the dissemination of knowledge one step further. The first depth pearl courses were held, like events and lectures arranged the goldsmith shop's employees and their customers...
