Lloyd - I'm impressed with your little crimp beads ...I was always terrible at crimping ..they never turned out right , so I switched to Tornado crimps lol. I might have to check out that tool !

Thanks for the photo Lloyd! Katbran, I always struggle with crimps too. I never really like the way they come out (when I do them), and I prefer knotting or wire wrapping anyway. But the Magic Crimper does do a better job of making a more finished look. As you can see from Lloyds photo, the crimps are easily incorporated into the design instead of just being used on the ends.

It is not well known, but the one worn in the 1996 movie by Renee Russo' used skin colored knotted silk. This might work. I would recommend beaders secret. Knots would be small. Patty has lots of color choices.

That looks good, Lloyd! I have a Magic Crimper somewhere ~ never got around to using it, (hangs head in shame) but I like the idea of round crimps. I do use the tornado crimps mostly. There are also tiny 1 x 1 mm crimps which would hardly show next to the pearls and would be plenty strong to hold the pearl in place. Finding a pretty cone to finish the ends shouldn't be a problem.
