Identify Please

These are between 8-9.7mm. The white pearls are 4.5-5.5mm. Clasp is signed 925 IPS.

They are cultured freshwater pearls from China and are solid nacre (no bead inside.) The dark ones are dyed. The clasp is sterling silver.

I think they are cultured Tahitian undyed.

I say this because none of them are even slightly similar in color, tone, or sheen. Each one is unique in color. None match at all. If they were dyed they would at least be cohesive. Why would someone create a strand with strongly match white pearls between colored pearls, unless they were trying to showcase the colored pearls color,tone,flaws and all. In regular indoor lighting they are on fire with vivid colors but other direct lighting pulls them to darker grayish green.

No-- they are not Tahitians. No doubt about it. It is normal for even dyed pearls to differ in all those ways.

Yes, they are.
But not all dyed FWP look the same.

Look-- if you didn't pay Tahitian prices for your necklace, there is nothing to be unhappy about. It's a pretty necklace.

No, the strand in the middle is the FW one.
The ones on the left are baroque Tahitians from Rikitea.
The ones on the far right are near-round Tahitians and not circlé.

Pearl Dreams is spot on. The black pearls are dyed freshwater, not Tahitian.

Without any doubt whatsoever they are freshwater - both the white pearls and the dyed dark pearls. The IPS mark is for the Imperial Pearl Syndicate. If you search for IPS and freshwater pearls you will pull up examples of their jewellery.
