Great Jewelmer video on pearl farming in the Sulu-Sulawesi Sea

Since I was lucky enough to squeeze myself into the 2014 Jewelmer Gala guest list, I decided to do a little research. I found this four-year old video that has very good footage of the Badjao sea gypsies, spats, oysters, and part of the farming process. Unfortunately, the video is only one of two parts, and I haven't found the second part yet.

Your ears may have to strain to understand the poorly mixed narration, but the visuals are a treat.

Absolutely fascinating! It was heartwarming to see the worker singing to the baby oysters as she cleaned and stimulated them.

Aaargh that it cuts off right when they are ready for grafting!
