Hello everyone,
I recently bought a pair of Golden SSP; I made a few simple tests (teeth, scratch, boiling water) and I'm 100% sure it's natural pearls. But I have a few doubts about not being dyed pearls. I got a UV light and checked them but... They don't glow, like at all.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether a (natural color) Golden SSP should glow or not, or what color it should show.
Here's a picture of them under natural light and UV Light.

Thanks for your help!

I actually have seen the same thing with the natural colored Golden SSPs that I own: No fluorescence (glow).
I have yet to understand the reason...I believe that some carotenoid or some protein in the pearls absorbs the UV light, in the same manner that melanin (the black protein found in black pearls) does.

Phew! This is so relieving!
I know the photo I posted is not very good (and the pearls look orangy - but they don't in real life).
Thank you for your comment! :)
