Flight of Fancy

The designer could have just gone with the "hot dog" theme, made an enameled bun, hung it as a charm, skipped the gems.

Or with yellow stones for mustard, red for ketchup, and green for pickles?

I generally don't comment on designs that I dislike, but this one seems to be a terrible waste of some nice pearls and gemstones. And, I like butterflies, as a rule.

Sorry, GemGeek. I'm sure it is sparkly in real life.

I'm so sorry, Blaire. This is the first time I haven't liked one of the jewelry designs you shared with us.

Hey, I can take it. Now I think I may have to go looking for body-part pearls!

OK, I second the body-part pearls thread. I know the Renaissance had a lot of them, like the Canning pearl.

I've always been fascinated by the Canning pearl. I got one of the poke pearls from Pearlescence. It looks like a torso with stubby limbs, at least to me. I body parts thread would be fun!
