Hi there Pearl Family!
I rarely watch the Oscars...I think I haven't done this since....yikes...30 years?
Anyway, I always watch the list of winners to see if something catches my eye.
And I was not disappointed this year.
An Oscar winner -Canadian- in the short animated film section for 2026 is "The Girl Who Cried Pearls".
You have got to watch it.
The animation is good, the puppets are crude in their roughness and grittiness...but the story, the story is EVERYTHING.
Please watch it! It is found in YouTube Canada and here.
My issue was to be able to watch it, since it is open for Canadians and maybe other nationalities, so I had to use a VPN to actually be allowed to watch it.
Enjoy it!
