Are these Mississippi Pearls or River Pearls?

Hi Caitlin and All,

I got the double strand off ebay early last year--they had a silver clasp with chipped glass cabochon of some type--and falling apart thread. They were only knotted at the end pearl. Some pearls are almost translucent, but rich gold-cream color. I meant to bring them to Tucson, but totally forgot!!

I will be glad to share any info I get from the appraiser.

Thanks for posting the photo Pattye. They look much better cleaned. They do look very much like the bracelet I have. Really lovely, both yours and mine.

I am not convinced that the first set of pics are River pearls. They seem too yellow over all. I have a few and I always see more pink in them. We often find what we call Rosebud Pearls. I don't see any pink in the pics. But I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.


It would be the third.
