Hello to everyone!
I just passed by this necklace online. It is said those are freshwater pearls.
I actually think they are man-made, but really can't be sure.
Now, that annoys me, and if they are freshwaters I consider to buy them.
Would really appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks ☺️
It is 27 pearls for 40 cm necklace so they are quite large, and of course very uniform which tels me they are fakes... Also, I see a little bit difference in the color between some pearls, and that little pits which maybe may be sign of that they are FW (or I just so badly want they to be since I have a great idea for the necklace t,o make from them 😂)
Anyways, thank you.
P.S. I have only this terrible photos...

Such bad photos. Dark pearls on a dark background skews the color and the light background is terrible lighting. I would ask for photos of the drill holes... Maybe they can get good enough ones to tell....but it is were me...I would pass on them...you can get better or at least better photos! I am still trying to ID with photos and I often go to eBay and search (peacock pearls, tahitian, freshwater, cultured pearls...anything I can think of). I have gotten lots better with ID from photos with great photos, I have...found some Faux listed as real...found some underpriced baroque saltwater listed as freshwater and everything in between. Bad photos are still just hard!

Don't get me started on Google Lens telling a seller their pearls are tahitian or akoya...when they are imitation!!! Usually those sellers take good enough photos and many are learning to post drill holes.

The final irony is I just saw a "Mikimoto faux pearl necklace" with a certificate of authentication...I HAD to look! Great photos...faux, I can tell... a "m" dangle that is NOT mikimoto and the clasp is wrong & not even marked. Mikimoto's thing is REAL pearls!!! Someone is not going to be happy when they find out the COA is not worth anything and that company or person doesn't know anything about Mikimoto!

Sure, ABreaker, I totally understand you. I also found everything on the Internet, especially when I was less experienced. Here particularly, I was drawn by the size and I wanted to discuss with all of you about them.
I wasn't, however, so interested, so I passed and did not bought them.
Thank you for your comments 😃
