Akoya Pearl Farm in China

Bigwell Pearl Farm, located in Xuwen, Zhanjiang, Guangdong, is the leading Akoya pearl cultivating enterprise. They continue to focus on inserting 6-6.5mm, 7-7.5mm sizes nucleus into oysters.

Professors and teachers from Pearl Research Institute of Guangdong Ocean University have been examining and demonstrating the innovative Akoya oyster for a week.

The Akoya pearls in the hand had been cultivated for 100 days, their nacre has become visible, luster looks shining.

The general quality this year is better than previous year. The reasons are attributed to nice weather, temperature is stable , without typhoon, without natural calamities.
Our yearly harvest is 250 kgs. The resulting Akoya pearls are 6-6.5mm,6.5-7mm, 7-7.5mm,7.5-8mm.

Miss Pearl Cai and Mr Vigor He visited Bigwell Pearl Farm on August 22nd, 2021. They talked with farmers and the teachers about current business on Akoya pearls, freshwater pearls, Mabe pearls and South Sea pearls in China.
