Could this be possibly a pearl?

I found a shell thingy on one of the beaches in southern Cebu. It's weight is unusual for its size. It's dense. I tried to put it on a flashlight and this is what happens.

I don't think it's a pearl. If it's dense, I'm guessing rock. Maybe a moonstone?

It definitely doesn't look like any type of pearl.

It does not appear to be a pearl, instead a broken fragment of shell.

Could this be possibly a pearl?
