The pearl stilletto

Why can't anybody make really great looking shoes that have wearable heels? (Pout, pout.)

barbie

Its all about Sex appeal.. wearable heels( while actually better for any woman in the long run no matter how healthy Wearable heels, do not make a lady "look as sexy" and the "legs longer" like high heels do....

Wasn't ther someone who "decked out" a pair of her shoes Flip flops I am thinking that looked absolutely fabulous. Just beautiful.. Sorry Coudl not find the link.

With permission I had planned on doing somethig similar with flats but it has never materialized... I could not find the shoes in my size (darn these air craft carrier feet of mine....)

cheers

Well, I'm a guy, but I must admit that a pearl on the inside of the heel is ... well... aesthetically pleasing. However, when standing, I very much doubt that they would be noticeable... or at all visible. None the less, the idea is quite a stand out.

I'm guessing fake pearls, and I'm wondering how easy to imitate....big fake, screwed to heel....(nailed would work loose?)
A sort of pearl spats thing might be fun, ankle bracelet with a loop also around the sole...
hmmmmmmmmmm

When the $hit hits the fan, I want to be in Pearlescence's lifeboat!

I think you're absolutely right about the nailed pearl working loose with all the impact from walking.

Impressed,
CarolK
p.s. And, Valeria101, you are right about that. The sandal has not been made that can contain my powerful flippers!

I'd figure out an outfit to go with the shoes... ;)

And to all of you that were trying to figure out how to wear them and with what - these shoes are not for walking! I have a friend who has a very naughty name for this type of shoe, and let me assure you that clothes are optional! ;)

Pfft. That?s just a sad and very, very unfair view on things. Who decides what?s "sexy" or not? People in China a couple of hundred years or so (at least I think?) would say something similar about wrapped feet, people in Africa say similar things about those plates women puts in their lips and ears and people in Europe during 1700 (again, a "?"...) would say the same about women with a wasp like waist! But we (well, the majority of the people in the western world.) think that?s awful and I?m sure people will think the same about high heels in the future. It?s a sick ideal that ruins your feet totally and you can get permanent damages.

... but if guys was wearing corsets, used cancerogen make up, high heels, if they putted foreign and unatural materia in their bodies to look good and if they starved themselves in their teens I?d think differently. I?d still be outraged by it but I wouldn?t think it was unfair.

You were probably sarcastic or ironic but I just couldn?t help it. I feel very strongly about this. I could just go on and on but I?ll stop.

I feel strongly too.

The sad part is the "masses" Buy into what is "sold" to them by marketers (that is the who says what is sexy) teh Idea of sex and what is sexy appeals to senses and people do not think rationally when " in an arroused state".

Someone somewhere in a marketing firm figured this out and well look at the garbage we see.

I will stop too. back to the Shoes....:D

I would be "impressed" with Pearl adorned Hightops or Aqua socks.
Okay Now I am just being silly! :D

I think those Chanel shoes look very phallacious, esp where the pearl is placed. ;)

Phallacious is a word my female only college was really obsessed with - and applied to anything tall (Washington Monument)or long like those Chanel heels- or things like hand guns - especially since we studied Freud back then.

I have always said I would never visit the White House if I had to wear panty hose or heels. Luckily:p, the occasion has never arisen where they'd want me to go.

They are defo F-M shoes, ....

Now, for a pearl forum ... :p

phew
I would need to practice to even take a few steps in them - it has been so cold here until the last few days that I have been wearing crochet Uggs. (def not FMs)

Oh my, I don't think you were EVER meant to take a step in those. Maybe the pearl (?) on the end is to prevent you from impaling someone when you are wear them not to walk in.

I've thought of an easier way to attach a pearl - watch my website in a few days! Plus another shoe related idea I had.

I'm having a difficult time drinking my tea today. Trying not to laugh and snort all the tea down the wrong pipe.
I totally love high heels. When I worked in a bank I wore silk dresses or the femal version of the white shirt and tie a lot, with a skirt of course. Always, with the heels. Probably why my spine is toast now. But I miss the clothes! It's been 20 years since I decided to go into the hospital biz and do something besides put money in someone's pocket.
Now my idea of "dress-up" is a natty silk blouse and a pair of nice jeans, with pearls of course. And verrry comfortable shoes. Since I sit cross-legged a fair amount I have to wonder how comfortable those pearls would be.
Takes me back to the eternal East-West question: Do you wear your shoes in the house?

So many one liners and not a one of them fit for the forum! :D:D I'm long past snorting on this thread!

I'll just say A Big Pearl-Guide Thanks to Sheryl for her Important Safety Tip and leave it at that. :D

We don't wear shoes in the houses in Hawaii. It's a big no-no. I love dressing up (for me) for a party and wearing my boots or fun shoes and just leaving them in a big pile out by the door. On the island of Molokai the story goes that if you are the last to leave the party, you will leave with the worst pair of slippahs (flip-flops to you mainland folks). Supposedly when you leave, you take the best pair. Now that's community sharing, Hawaii style. My friend who lived there said she knew people that tried to do that with the cars as well.

You don?t wear shoes indoors in Sweden either. My boyfriend think that?s really strange and we tend to joke about it a lot.

But really, shoes inside = dirty floors. They get lots of dust, grain and other stuff on them outdoors. You might not notice it if you?re a 21 year old guy that never vacuumclean though...
