Please help me choose a Tahitian pearl for a ring

The pink one.

I like cool tones too and having tried loads of tahitian colors the left one works on me (I've a pair of studs with similar coloration - tried on over 20 pairs before deciding on that particular one).

Thanks everyone -- I still like both pearls very much, but I think the pink one might be better colour wise... I never really wear yellow gold. Maybe I should start doing so, but it just feels weird to me!

The setting is the new Goddess collection ring setting -- I like it very much, because it's simple and it shows the pearl well. Anyway, I have asked Mia to see if she can find a few more similar pearls of that size before I make a decision. I will keep you all posted, and thanks again for weighing in; I really appreciate your input -- this will be my first pearl ring and I'm very excited about it.

Tucs,

Greetings from Toronto! I'm Mike from JY Pearls over at 27 Queen St. In my opinion both pearl 5 and 6 are gorgeous, all of the pearls have great sheen and it will really come down to the colour you prefer. We have a great selection of Tahitian pearls at our showroom as well if you ever get the opportunity to drop by =)

Good luck!
Mike

Mia has selected a couple more pearls and has added them to the card. They have the pinkish colour that I like, but they are a bit darker, one is 11-12mm and the other one is 10-11mm. The order is different than in the previous cards. There's two photos, each one in a different camera setting.
Top row are the 11-12mm pearls, bottom row are the 10-11mm. Row 1 -- from the left, 1 is the new one. 2 is the "pink" one. 3 is another one from before, but not a favourite. 4 is the "gold" one, which seemed to have better luster than 2, while a bit too warm for white metal. Row 2 -- 1 is the new one (another colourful pearl, but darker than the original one). 2-4 are the same as before.
I still like 2 (pink) and 4 (gold) on the top row the best. In these photos, the luster seems similar. Moreover, Mia says that in real life, to then naked eye, number 2 looks just as lustrous as 4. So I think I'm going to go for number 2, the pink one! Any thoughts? pearls1.jpgpearls_2.jpg

OK, so I finally decided to get the pink one. Yay! Will post photos when I get it. Thanks again everyone.

Lovely -- I especially like the last shot, it looks great against your skin.

On my monitor it looks quite green with pink overtones. How does it appear to your eye? Is the color what you expected? (I find Tahitians super tricky devils when it comes to photos versus expectations versus real life. I have not mastered understanding how to read them.)

Thanks BAS! I think the second shot might be closest to what I see in real life -- light silver/green with lots of pink.

I also find it very tricky -- I think asking for additional photos in other lighting conditions really helps, as well as asking the person who's helping you.

Thanks Bailey, pinkjewel and Katbran!

I don't see any copper in real life, its quite silvery, though. I like it a lot, definitely my colours, and so lustrous.

That is my favorite setting at PP. I love the vintage inspired look. It's the one I have my eye on for the pearl I have waiting for a setting.

KarinK -- I am really happy with the setting. It is very simple, so the pearl is the absolute star, but at the same time it has a little something. I think it's the perfect display for a nice pearl.

I also like PP's classic ring setting, and in the future I may get a WSS in that setting. Gosh, I'm so greedy.
