I doubt they are natural pearls at that size. Please post a photo and follow instruction on the sticky note on the front page of this forum if you want some kind of free evaluation.

Wait a minute- this thread is in the wrong forum. We have a forum called "What kind of pearls do I have"? Read the sticky at the front of that forum.

Haha, we should just throw out a crazy valuation to match the equally vague & strange description.
Those pearls are worth 3.5 million US dollars.

Those are lovely cultured freshwater pearls with circles. They are nice because the circles can reflect more iridescence than usual.

I am not sure what they would go for, because the circled ones aren't available as often. I guess retail with no clasp? $125. You could get a better price if you keep shopping or buy strands from a bead store, they could cost less to buy, but you would have to make it up. Made up- at least $100. Retail at some places, $150.

Get that restrung and wear it.

It was obviously a typo to those who wanted to make silly comments but I do own the
beautiful set of antique 8mm pearls

Thanks for the picture! We appreciate it.

Yes, we've all learned to laugh at ourselves here as we've learned about pearls. The humor might be a bit disconcerting to a new poster, but the hearts are friendly here, not harsh.:)

Ohhhh Pretty Fresh water pearls you have there.

Nice versatile Length too! May want to look into having them restrung. I'd say forgo & Forgive the Silliness as we have had a lot here lately. Intentions are good & no harm or ill intent is meant.

They are nice, and obviously sentimental to you... Think about an appraisal for replacement value. wear & enjoy!!

Cheers

Oh well, All Serious doesn't necessarily equal All Good. Plenty of ignorant websites take themselves VEEEEEERY SERIOUSLY. Life can be Smart and FUN ;-)

Lisa,

Good Point!

However, there have been some responses made in the spirit of fun that have been taken out of context lately By newer members who do not know the silly jests & history of many of us who have been here a while.

Personally I love the silly There are many times I am convinced I married a Muppet.:D

I just do not want a new member who does have good intentions to misread someones reply as arrogance or rudeness.Even I have had to do a double take & think Oh okay it was "X" playing & being silly.

Cheers
Ash
