Hi everybody!

I have been wanting a real,natural, pearl as a collectors item for eons. ( yeah,I'm old :p)
Can anyone recommend a seller? I am not looking for gem quality,I guess you could say that I'm looking for an " entry level" natural pearl.
I just really like the idea of having a pearl that Mother Nature made, instead of being cultured.

Thanks!

What is your price point? You can find some certified natural pearls at Kari's pearls from the Persian Gulf and others, as well.

Many old pieces from the turn of the 20th century have natural pearls in them. A brooch or a ring can be had for a reasonable price. Natural seed pearls are easy to find in old jewelry. I like to shop Dawn's collection on Ebay for the old pearls. She does not certify them, so she is for knowledgeable shoppers who think they know what they are seeing. she has many pieces not listed, but this is one I think is a natural pearl and it is not expensive.

Actually what I want is just the pearl by it's self. Not in a setting. Just one single pearl.

There are single pearls under the persian gulf choice at Kari's. these are very tiny, much smaller than you might think by the photo, so don't let that fool you.

I can recommend a place that has a pretty decent average for finding your own. I've found several there. Do you mind getting wet? :)

Deafening silence, Mikeyy. Maybe the diving helmet intimidates?

Most naturals are not what you'd might expect. They are most often tiny, misshappen, poorly surfaced and/or otherwise not useful in jewelcrafting.

I might be able to help you with something as a keepsake.

hi pearladdict,

thanks for showing your interest in getting a pearl. I think i have just the right thing you would be looking for. It was given to me by some natives in Papua New Guinea who were lucky to get their hands on it from one of the their traditional fishing trips. What i have is very high in luster (you can see your own reflection in it), turtled shelled shaped at a size of over 20mm in diameter. Since were i come from (PNG), it is not of much value and been lucky to know that it has value worldwide i would and am really hoping to sell it for a price that would suit me. If you are interested email me on kein_kep@y7mail.com.

If any body out there knows how i could have it sold for its maximum value then please contact me on the same email add.

Cheers to you allj

Kein
