Circled Peacock Tahitians

okay so um, i bought them! what do you guys think of the colour? (and the lustre?) i like circled tahitians a lot, and i like that these are actually quite "round" too (most circled tahitians i've seen have been quite baroque). they're 10 to 13mm. fingers crossed that the colours are as vibrant in person!

lol - I just wrote you! So funny....... yeah, I sure hope so! The last strand I got (that I'm returning) LOOKED colourful in the photos but I just couldn't see the colours in person....... it's hard to tell what will show up and what won't. I DO believe that circled tend to have the most vibrant overtones though (I think Jeremy said something as to WHY before?) If nothing else, they seem to be PURPLE at least. My favorite colour! She's going to see if she has purple knotting thread too to thread them on!

they ARE cutr, arent they? lol LOVE them! i havent had good luck with colours in person though, but since these are peacock, i figured i had a better chance (plus i could see the colour in the photos on her neck, thats the test)

I am sure the colours will be great, looks like lots of green and reddyishness (an official and recognized colour term for tahitians I'm sure) and the size is excellent!

now i have a question about circled tahitians - are they just automatically 'B' grade? regardless of how many actual blemishes there are on them? (it seems that all the ones i saw that were graded were all 'B' for surface....... )

My New Peacock Pets!

so i got them! UH-amazing! they are TRUE peacock! (and every SINGLE pearl is peacock - not like some strands where there are a couple of peacock pearls and the rest have a single color overtone. these ALL show ALL colours!). it just JUMPS out at you too! (i remember reading a thread where someone asked if peacock should be immediately noticeable - now i can say `YES!`) as in the original photos they are heavily ringed, (a look i really like - sort of like weird little planets!), they are very nicely graduated for size as well. oh, and the body colour is black black BLACK! love that! in very low light they look PURPLE! yummy..... (i had her string them on purple thread - looks really cool).

so, best photos i can do for now on a VERY grey day here in vancouver with my camera phone (always makes things too blue! the case was white of course - anyone care to tamper with one of them) i will take better ones later! (yes, and a neck shot!)
