My pearls

Thank you TriciaS and CortezPearls. I like the casualness of the leather necklaces and bracelets as well. These are the first that I have ever had, don't know why really. And I really like that they are so flexible, lenghtwise.
Bäärtil really is a darling. I put him snuggly like with one of the cats who just happend to put her paw around him whilst sleeping, so I sent my mother and sister (who got me Bäärtil as a joke) a photo. There will be lots of photos for them in the future...
Yesterday when I was looking through part of "Show me your pearls in action" tread (that photos only is handy when you want to just revisit the photos of a tread you read like 3 times already) I saw all the 18 inches or thereabout tahitian strands and felt like I didn't have any one of those left. Due to my frequent remaking them of course. I had to give myself a stern talk for being spoilt...and then I looked through my pearls. I do still have my rikitea strand from Cees, my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence and my Ombre ombre strand and lots of mixed pearls and ropes and of course my rainbow strand...I felt better at once. I decided to remake my ombre blue tahitian rope from cmw pearls that I made from 4 bracelets and make a shorter ombre strand with the pearls, using my favorites. Well it ended up being maybe a tad longer than expected. I was going for 20 inches and it's 21,5 inches long now. I think that I like the new lenght. I post a photo when there is more light, to early now. I added my blue bracelet from cmw pearls to the mix as well. I do have some 19-20 inches left of pearls after also cutting apart an extender with some other silver blue tahitians. First I was thinking of making another strand and wear them jumbled or as a rope. Then I thought that I could make a shorter one that I could double wrap around my wrist and use as a strand with another extender. I wonder what lenght would work for that. Bracelets are finickely like that, depends on the size of the pearls. Maybe around 15-16 inches all done with a clasp. I probably have to start stringing from my favorite end and remove some pearls at the other when I get there.
Whilst going through my pearls I also found some strands that needed to be restrung, I did restring both the rikitea strand and the circled deep golden south sea strand last evening. The goldens had the most unsightly gap, most have made an error last time I strung it.

Great selfies with your latest leather work, Charlotta.

Thank you @Happy Huku.
This is the 21,5 inches long ombre blue tahitian strand, with pearls from cmw pearls, that I remade yesterday. Very wearable. Today I knotted the shorter one, well it didn't turn out to be a double bracelet after all. It was 19,5 inches long. It was a bit dark when I was finished with the shorter one so I post that tomorrow.

And a selfie with both strands...too dark...they don't look blue at all...

I like how they turned out. The longer strand has the slightly bigger pearls in it.

Thank you SurfnSci. I am very pleased with them both. They were gorgeous as a rope as well and I might miss the bracelet, but I think that I will get more wear out of them this way. I mostly wear my Happy bracelets at the moment anyway, they are so colorful.

Lovely lovely blues Charlotta! And your neckshots are always so pretty!!! And you can have a blue rope!!!! Wow!!!

Looking at your leather creations I am wondering about the hole size of the pearls. The leather is 3mm right?

Thank you eolian pearls. The drillholes are indeed 2mm and the leather 3mmx1mm, I didn't buy any bigger drillbits...and I didn't want to wait for months for round leather. So I folded the end a bit and sort of pushed it through...It works really well. I only have to fold a cm or so.

This is the other ombre blue tahitian strand, it's 19,5 inches long.

I have added a blue akoya extender to my Pearlescence strand.

I'm not remaking this one.

And since I did restring my rikitea strand from Cees here is a photo of that one as well. Sometimes I forget how colorful it is. Amazing

I cut the end of the leather thinner so I could push the tip through and pull it the rest of the way with tweezers.

I was thinking about doing that as well KarinK. I am very pleased with the roo leather cords. I thought that I would use the dark brown most byt I accually reach for the navy instead most of the time.

I saved one little blue purple tahitian from all those blue cmw pearls tahitians and made a leather bracelet with it.

I also redrilled a pretty circled pearl from Druzydesign and put in on blue leather. It was with akoya keshis before.

I also added a big tahitian pearl to some brown leather and made a bracelet. That pearl has the wierdest color. It probably is peacock green, but sometimes it looks more grey and today it looked brown

This is one of my new flower beds that I made this spring. It's my sunset flower bed. I have another one with roses, hardy geraniums and some other perennials, in pink, purple and blue shades. Anyway my new sunset flower bed is so colorful.

I plated them roughly in a rainbow order. Yesterday I picked up my latest order from Druzydesign. And made this layout.

Then I really made a mess of pearls

I know...not the most orderly layout. I am thinking about making a sunset strand with golden south sea pearls and those pretty metallic edison pearls, inspired of my flower bed. I have not decided if the tahitians are to be included or not, but regardless of that one can never have to many tahitians. I was thinking about making a rainbow strand, but then I already have the perfect rainbow strand, so probably not. Can't beat this right?

So pretty, Wendy did marvellously with that strand. Hm, maybe I could add some blue and green akoyas to my sunset. I have two green akoyas left and can probably shorten that blue akoya and purple freshwater strand some. Maybe an everything but tahitian strand...
This morning I did something scary...I have had a pair of lavender blueish freshwater pearls that I tried to remove the findings from years ago. Well the findings broke on both of them and I couldn't get them out even with the glue releasing thinghy, nor aceton or the reamer. I accually reamed myself really hard last time I tried. So today I drilled out the finding. I wasn't sure that it would work, but it did. I thought that I couldn't use them anyway, so why not drill them. I have already glued them into new findings and have a new pair of studs. I bought this pair years ago from Pearlunar. Pearlescence has lots of pretty freshwater studs had I failed, but it bothered me that I couldn't use them. They are 7,7mm.

I love your Rainbow Strand :07:
It's something truly special...my heart pounds with its beauty!

Thank you CortezPearls. Then you will love these.
I had the most fun today designing my sunset and night rope. It's truly a transformer piece if ever there was one.

At first I was thinking about making an endless night and day strand, about 26 inches long or so. Just enough to pull over the head without a clasp. I was thinking about one sunset side and one night side, just to swivel around. Then I thought that it would be practical with two clasps so that I could wear them separately. But I wanted to be able to wear each as a double bracelet...so extenders as well...it was difficult to decide what lenght to make them for a doubled bracelet since the ripples took a lot of space. Had to remake the sunset one. Now they are both 17,5 inches long, with smaller pearls I guess they could have been shorter...the extenders are about 4,5 inches. They can also be linked together and make a single bracelet...
The pearls in this one is mostly from Druzydesign with just a few from my leftover pile.

Then the night strand. I wanted to make it like the bleached out colors that appears during the night. The nights in sweden are not always pitch black, sometimes it's just less light but you can't really see the colors. They are just dark, light and versions of gray, taupe, blue and beige.

Most of these pearls are from Druzydesign except for the ice blue akoyas (Pearlescence), some big tahitians (cmw pearls) and some from my leftover pile.

So they link together and make a 35 inches long rope, or 2 doubled bracelets or 2 22 inches long strands. And of course the single bracelet of 2 extenders.

I didn't realise that the extenders were a good lenght for a bracelet until after I made them. I usually use 7 pearls for extenders, well I used 8 in one of them because I wanted them to have the same lenght.

I know that the extenders could really be any pearls leftover, you probably woun't see them anyway. Well I like to make them fun anyway

OMG...I am SPEECHLESS :07::07::07::07:

Thank you CortezPearls. It took me an entire day to make them. And of course I wanted to use favorite pearls that I didn't have available so lots of restringing the day before. There were strands that I really like but some were a bit long so I shortened them to my favorite new lenght of 20 inches. Very comfortable lenght yet still not a rope. I didn't shorten any ropes. I have been thinking about shortening those strands for a long time, so it's good that I finally for around to do it. I have some more tahitians coming maybe next week. I have no plan whatsoever for them yet as with this latest lot. I just bought the things I always went by looking for. In my night strand I used a lot of the arutua tahitians I just got from Druzydesign. Wonderful luster on those. I also did use some of those small tahitians I got last year. I have more arutua pearls coming. Now I have some cleanup to do, pearls everywhere. And this is before stringing the sunset strand. There is another beading bord that I didn't photograph.
