China custom declaration

Hello,

I am planning on buying my first larger buck of pearls in China and i need to bring them in Europe. Unfortunately, I never had to deal with any custom declaration, so I would like to ask somebody about it. The market value in China of those pearls will be only like 500,- USD. I am asking only about China custom declaration process:
1) Do I have to fill a declaration form?
2) Do I have to pay some taxes/fees for those pearls when leaving China?
3) If 2-yes, how much percent are those fees?
4) If 2-yes, are those fees calculated from bills gained from sellers? Or somehow else?
5) How long is the delay on the airport? My transfer time is limited :/

Export facilities from China are not your concern, only the VAT on pearls and transport.

I think that any taxes will be required entering in Europe, not leaving China.
In France, you must pay 2.5% up 300 euros value, and 20% TVA.
So, I have readen that you must have a special permit to import pearls in Nederland.
