What type of pearls are these

These are the photos from the vendor. I have just received them

I haven't seen pearls like these in a while. Maybe last saw some like these back in the early 2000s. They were very common back in the 1990's. These are freshwater pearls, when "rice krispies" were evolving into "potatoes", at least that is my take.
