I have this pearl ring all I know is my mother got it from her mother about 60 years ago.

When I run it across my teeth it feels gritty.
I'm trying to find out anything about what kind of pearl it is and what it maybe worth?

I can't say anything about the pearl or it's value, but that is a very wearable setting, classic clean and simple! It's a beautiful piece.

Very lovely ring! Can you give us an approximate size of the pearl? The pearl seems to be very round, so probably it is bead nucleated.

Are there markings inside the ring shank? like 14K, 585, 18k, 750? The ring looks like it wasn't worn very often.

Oh, also, if the ring box is original to the ring, it looks like it's from McCoy Jewelers (a quick Google shows they are in Dubuque IA). I would definitely contact them to see if they have any info on the piece.
