QuestLove's jacket has freshwater pearls; but it looks to me like Pharrell's was imitation. So which jacket do we prefer?

QuestLove's jacket has freshwater pearls; but it looks to me like Pharrell's was imitation. So which jacket do we prefer?

I think since Pharrell designed it himself, and it was crafted at Louis Vuitton, they've got to be real pearls...

That said, I still prefer QuestLove's classic pinstripes because they stand out so much more than a fully pearled jacket.

I also wonder how much Pharrell's jacket weighed if they were all genuine pearls?

Pharrell has done some cultured pearl jewelry designs, so it seems if they were using "real pearls" they would mention it and a high $$$$$ value, not just the number of pearls on the jacket. Though Swarovski pearls aren't cheap or light weight! I think what wasn't mentioned here is important.

Good point about what wasn't mentioned. They might have made more of a fuss about the value of the pearls or where they came from if they were genuine. Although I feel like pearls are still a sleeper gemstone for many; I just recently discovered my love for them! Before last year I would never have thought about someone wearing a pearl jacket and would have talked more about the wigs or shoes.
