pearl suit at Chanel Spring 2014

Chanel returns to pearls again and again, often trying something new.

Here's a suitdress encrusted with pearls, with asymmetrical monster gumballs at the throat.

I don't love this look but there are elements that interest me - the necklace I like more than I would have thought (reminds me of a solar system diorama), and just embellishing certain elements (pockets, collar). Oh, and the dappled multicolor eye look is stunning.

Very fun and over the top, but that's what gets the attention, isn't it?

I like the idea of embellishing certain parts as well, especially the one of the skirt detail peeking out from under its longer front panel. Great idea for a (standing) cocktail dress
