Is 28mm too big for stud earrings?

Are these already drilled for earrings? Being flatter, they would weigh less than rounds. For me, post should be set closer to the top for the earring to sit correctly.

My mom had mabe' pearl earrings that size back in the late 1980s or 90s. If your earlobe can handle the look, go for it.
