Need Help Identifying This Type of Pearl

The gold is definitely 14 or 18K. It's very heavy. It was obviously a one of a kind piece done free form. It is from an estate.

Looks like a river pearl to me, but I am far from an expert. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will comment soon

It looks like a freshwater stick pearl. Depending on the age, it could be natural, or it could be cultured American or Chinese.
