Mystery pearls

I THINK these are dyed freshwater, but they are such an odd shape. I have some others that are flatter & look like Cornflakes, but these are much more 3D. Are they souffle pearls? Are they something else? Am I right about dyed freshwater? Thanks

You are 100% precise. Those are "corn flake" dyed freshwater pearls. They can be used to create fun designs!

Yes, 2nd harvest FWP and dyed.
When the pearl from the first harvest is removed and the mussel is placed back in the water, the pearl sac (which is still there) produces irregularly shaped pearls.

They have nice lustre! I've seen them in necklaces.
