My Great Aunt was fun and fancy. Not sure what she left me was fun, or fancy! Help me identify which.

My Great Aunt passed away in around 1980 when I was about 11 years old. When she passed, her sister, who would always describe her as silly and said she had her "head in the clouds", gave me a few boxes and told me I could put whatever I wanted in the boxes and come show it to her. So I did. I took the boxes to her and she looked through them and may have taken something out, but ultimately let me take my treasures home to keep! Surprisingly, I still have many of those things 45 years later. One of those things was this pearl choker. It doesn't have any marks except "Sterling S" stamped on the back of the clasp with the little diamonds (?). The length is about 14 inches long from clasp to clasp. What do you think?

I think we need better photos, against a white background. Are they real pearls? Did you do the tooth test, etc?

They look like imitation pearls when I blow up the photos and look at the drill holes and the yellowish color. The clasp with the bead ends also makes me think they are imitation. My grandmother's imitation pearls have the same look and also have a sterling silver clasp. Many women of that generation wore their imitation pearls proudly.
